Meg or Anyone,

Any clue what time Meg will hit the stage Oct. 5th in Dallas. I'm going to be out of town that day, arriving back home at night, hopefully she'll go on at 10pm or later so I won't miss anything.

Sincerely,

One of the 3 dudes in Dallas who took you to get soup and grub after the Dallas Pigface show. Friend of Jason, the guy you saw in Lubbock and Portland, haha, funny stuff.

I was wondering the same thing. I've tried to call Spiderbabies, but could never get through. I could probably take a guess, but I've not been 'out' in that area for a looong time. I'm guessing about $10 to get in? We'll see.

Dallas Texas Show

Just got home from the show. About the only thing I can really say with any clarity right now is "Oh, my G-d!" The show was beyond awsome. I'm pumped enough from the performance to seriosly consider making the drive to Tulsa today to catch an encore act.

Nocturne opened the set. A local band to Dallas, they set a very good mood for the evening and the show to come. Chris Connelly followed and his music was enough of a contrast to Nocturn to keep the level of energy in the room from just burning itself out. The atmosphere remained charged, but not to a "frenzy" level that could not sustain itself.

Then.....Ms. Chin took the stage and took that energy which had been banked and fanned it to a new life. The set was a good mixture of very familiar tunes and new work. Her stage presence is very comfortable and she definately knows how to work a crowd. One thing that really helped was that the venue was small, and the crowd reletively light. It gave the show a more personal feel. My only complaint. When she ended the set, it was over. No encore performances at all. But at the same time, she came out and mingled with the patrons. So, 6 of one, half dozen of the other. All I know is that, as I said above, I'm seriously tempted to make that 5 hour road trip to see it again.

Way to go Meg wheeooh!

Pictures from the show once they have been developed and scanned.......

PS added......

Okay, now that my head is clearer I'm both sad and glad I did not make the 5 hour trip to Tulsa for the encore. I'm sure I would have enjoyed I'm not sure that I would have survived.

I mentioned above that the set was mix of old and new. In reflection, I'm not certain there was truly "new" music or just new to me Or perhaps even just reworked for the stage that game some old a new feeling shine. In any event I'm still incredibly happy I could make the show. Pictures didn't come out all that well (cheapie camera). I'm playing with the scans to see if I clean them up.
