I loved repoman, but Liquid Sky? drunk Now, there's a movie that made me stare at the screen wondering, "what the hell did I just watch?". Definatly a "different" kind of movie. I was starting to wonder if I had really actually seen it, or if it was all in my head. You've added another brick to my wall of sanity! wink
American History X is a good movie and examination of racism.
.... and oddly enough (and slasher will back me on this), Josie and the Pussycats kicks ass. don't hate me, but its hilarious.

i was a big fan of hedwig and the angry inch. it had one of the best endings to a movie i have ever seen. a trippy movie i had just seen was the doom generation. it was pretty good and it had skinny puppy in it as long as perry ferrel. liquid sky was a totally fucked movie. does anyone know any movies that have trent reznor doing any cameos besides "light of day"? oh, i must reccomend the movie "jacobs ladder". great film....
Harold and Maude
Harold and Maude! I used to have a crush on Harold. love

ever see 'the changeling?' classic ghost story. also lucio fulci's 'the seven doors of death' is a p r e t t y c o o l gorefest, it's not really all that great, but the gore is worth it. but i highly recommend the changeling to those who have not seen it.

Movies to watch
I like to watch B-Movies, HK films (I'm the utmost expert in HK Films if I say so myself) and Political movies. I also enjoy horror films, foreign films and silent movies. Here's some of my current faves...
1. State of Siege. I checked this out at a local library. This film by Costa-gavras is about the United States using a fake organization called AID in the 70's to train right-wing groups in Latin America on techiques in torture and forming "Death Squadrons" to hunt down, imprison or exterminate people deemed subversive and threats to democracy. Costa-Gavras uses a lot of quick editing and fast paced direction to keep the movie going. Oliver Stone uses his style in his films.
2. Z. Also by Costa-Gavras. This film takes place in Greece during the political upheveal during the 60's. Shot in the same style as State of Siege. A very good politico-thriller. I also found this movie at the library. DVD has commentary with director.
3. Battle Royale. Junior High School students forced to kill each other in a three day tournament, only one can survive. One class is chosen every year in a fascist Japan in the near future. To maintain order the BR Act was passed to keep the uncontroable youths in check. I highly doubt this film will ever be shown in the US. Consult your local video tape trader. The book is availible through Amazon or buy the Manga.
4. Punishment Park
5. Prize of Peril. French film based on the novel by the sane name. Remade into The Running man movie. This film has more to do with Prize of Peril than the Stephen King novella.
6. Series 7: The Contenders
7. Gladiators aka Gladiatorena
I also highly recommend Wages of Fear, WC Fields comedies and the original Scarface.
