Your power

Bradley's picture

Hi Meg,

I read your very long history on CD Baby trying to find out where you
are coming from. At the end you say: 'The truth is. I want to change the world.' If this is so, have you found how you can do this? Just wondering if there is a power really there in you, like it is in me, or if you think it is all from your own determination. I may be presumptuous in saying the power is in me, but I wonder if you are driven by a power not of your own, and if you know what it is?

I got an email from CD Baby saying I would like your album: Piece and
Love. They were correct about the music. But I can't tell what
your lyrics say. Lyrics are important to me. They are the real worth
behind a musically well written song. I can't get the lyrics tab to come up. I am using mozilla firefox. Do I have to go to Internet Explorer?

Peace,

Brad

Change da world!

It's an age old formula. You gotta start with yourself. I reckon the world to each individual is a reflection of themselves. If you are disatified with the world, you are disatisfied with yourself. But that can be a good thing. Disatisfaction creates change.

I'm never satisfied, so therefore, I always want to change things! Ultimately I know it is me I am really battling. This is the curse of the idealist and perfectionist!

the thing we hate the most

the thing we hate the most about others is the thing we hate about ourselves

The thing we hate most about

The thing we hate most about others is the thing we try the hardest not to be- but only if you have the ability to reflect on your actions and thoughts.

By the way, I'm not shutting you down Jason but was inspired by your words.

no worries Vilay, I'm

no worries Vilay, I'm flattered that my words were worth contemplation.

I agree with ya that in order to recognize that we dislike another's actions because of our own ineptitude or faults requires thought. There are a lot of lenses to look through in relation to other people and most often people ignore the differences that distinguish themselves from another individual. Perhaps you hate people that lie, because you lie. But the question is what motivates you to lie? Is it the same motivation that drives another's impulse? Dr. Phil once said, People do what works for them, why else would they do it? It makes sense to me. So even though another person has similar actions, they may be completely different based on motivation, rationale and purpose.
